Nutritional Therapist
BSc, MBA, PGDip
Meet Leila
I am a BANT registered nutritional therapist and nutrigenomics practitioner with a passion for supporting clients using a functional medicine approach to understand the root causes of persistent symptoms. I believe we have a lot of influence over our wellbeing with what we eat and the lifestyle choices we make as they have a huge impact on our health and disease risk. I am focused on the far-reaching impact of our microbiome on various aspects of health, from mental health to fertility, as well as the emerging science of nutrigenomics and the role of nutrition on our genetic expression.
I have a personal interest in digestive, fertility, women's, hormonal, children's and mental health. However, I can provide support to clients with a range of health complaints which often coexist. Like most practitioners, I retrained in nutrition because of personal transformations in health. I am healthier in my 50s than I was in my 30s. You can read more about me and my journey here.
I see clients online or in-person in Leamington Spa. I would love to hear from you if you are struggling with any aspects of your health which you haven't found answers for. I can't promise to have all the answers as you hold the key to your health but I can certainly help devise a nutrition and lifestyle plan that will support your health and wellbeing.

Why Nutritional Therapy?
Nutritional therapy is the application of nutrition science in the promotion of health, peak performance and individual care. Nutritional therapy practitioners use a wide range of tools to assess and identify potential nutritional imbalances and understand how these may contribute to an individual’s symptoms and health concerns. This approach allows them to work with individuals to address nutritional balance and help support the body towards maintaining health. Nutritional therapy is recognised as a complementary medicine. It is relevant both for individuals looking to enhance their health and wellbeing and for those with chronic conditions wishing to work with or 'consult' a nutritional therapist in collaboration with other suitably qualified healthcare professionals.
Practitioners consider each individual to be unique and recommend personalised nutrition and lifestyle programmes rather than a ‘one size fits all’ approach. Practitioners never recommend nutritional therapy as a replacement for medical advice and always refer any client with ‘red flag’ signs or symptoms to their medical professional. They will also frequently work alongside a medical professional and will communicate with other healthcare professionals involved in the client’s care to explain any nutritional therapy programme that has been provided.
