Nutritional Therapist
BSc, MBA, PGDip
Meet Leila
I am a registered nutritional therapist with a passion for supporting complex or unresolved health concerns using a functional medicine approach to tackle the root causes of chronic symptoms. I view food as medicine and truly believe what we eat has the power to heal us or cause dis-ease. I am focused on the far reaching impact of rebalancing our microbiome on various aspects of health, from mental health to fertility, as well as the emerging science of nutrigenomics and the role of nutrition in influencing our genetics.
I have a natural interest in digestive, fertility, women's, children and hormones health however I can support most chronic/complex conditions which often coexist. Like most practitioners, I retrained in nutrition because of personal transformations in health. I am healthier in my 50s than I was in my 30s. You can read more about my journey here.
I see clients online or in-person in Leamington Spa. I would love to hear from you if you are struggling with any aspects of your health and are motivated to get answers and make some changes. I can't promise to have all the answers as only you hold the key to your health and sometimes a multi-disciplinary approach is needed but I can certainly put some puzzle pieces together.

“The food you eat can either be the safest and most powerful form of medicine or the slowest form of poison.” –Ann Wigmore
Most functions in the body rely on biochemical processes which require certain nutrients as co-factors and if these are deficient then the body can't function optimally. Equally certain nutrients can inhibit certain biochemical processes or promote symptoms or disease. A dietary analysis can highlight imbalances or areas which may be contributing to your symptoms. My training is based on the Functional Medicine model and the advice and recommendations provided are personalised for each client to tackle possible root causes of symptoms(s) which can include dietary, lifestyle and supplement recommendations to address any nutritional imbalances or food sensitivities. If there is need for any GP tests, referrals can be made and further investigations such as functional lab or genetic testing will be discussed and arranged if necessary (at extra cost).
